Isn't it just "Semper Fi"? And I can't believe there were people at a bed and breakfast during the OSU/Michigan game. Must have been transplants to the Buckeye state.

Thanks for the comment Jeff!

As I'm sure you know, "Semper Fidelis" is Latin for "Always Faithful" and has been the United States Marine Corps motto since 1883. Marines often reduce the phrase to "Semper Fi." So, either is acceptable...although you are correct when speaking of Marines...most say "Semper Fi!"

"Semper Fidelis" is also the title of the official march of the United States Marine Corps, composed by John Philip Sousa in 1889. Sousa was director of the United States Marine Band ("The President's Own") when a replacement for Hail to the Chief was requested, but later rejected. Sousa considered it to be his "most musical" march. It was prominently featured in the movie A Few Good Men. There’s some appropriate trivia for you Jeff!
